10-Minute Comfort Food Pasta

Ingredients

  • 500 g Stellini pasta

  • 50 g butter

  • 15 g all-purpose flour

  • 500 ml milk

  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 700 g ground meat (beef, pork, chicken, or turkey)

  • 200 g tomato sauce

  • Salt to taste

  • Optional: meat seasoning and a pinch of ground nutmeg


How to Make This Easy Comfort Pasta

1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a baking dish.

2. Cook the pasta
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Stellini pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. Make the béchamel sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute. Slowly add the milk while stirring constantly until the sauce becomes smooth and thick. Season with salt and a pinch of nutmeg if desired.

4. Prepare the meat mixture
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic until soft and fragrant. Add the ground meat and cook until browned. Season with salt and any preferred spices, then mix in the tomato sauce and simmer for a few minutes.

5. Assemble the dish
In a baking dish, layer half of the pasta, followed by half of the meat mixture, and half of the béchamel sauce. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.

6. Bake
Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

7. Serve
