Pecan Praline Cake

Pecan Praline Cake – An Easy, Rich, and Irresistibly Moist Dessert

If you’re searching for a quick and delicious dessert to make at home, this Pecan Praline Cake is a fantastic choice. It’s simple to prepare, incredibly moist, and packed with sweet, nutty flavor that makes every bite unforgettable.

What makes this cake truly unique is the surprising step of mixing frosting directly into the cake batter before baking. It may sound unusual, but it creates a wonderfully rich texture and deep flavor that sets this cake apart from traditional recipes.

The cake is delicious on its own, but adding the warm pecan praline topping takes it to the next level. With buttery sweetness and crunchy pecans, the topping adds the perfect finishing touch.

Once you try it, this cake may quickly become one of your favorite desserts—and everyone will be asking for the recipe.

Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix

  • 1 container coconut pecan frosting

  • ⅔ cup oil

  • 1 cup water

  • 4 large eggs

  • ½ cup finely chopped pecans

For the Praline Topping

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Prepare the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, water, and coconut pecan frosting. Mix until the batter becomes smooth and well blended.

2. Add the Pecans

Gently fold in the ½ cup of finely chopped pecans, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

3. Bake the Cake

Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish thoroughly and pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 40 minutes, or until the cake is fully baked and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

4. Prepare the Praline Topping

While the cake is still warm, place the butter and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat.

Stir continuously until the butter melts and the mixture becomes smooth.
